Dr. Markus Ostermeier

Dr. Markus Ostermeier is a mechanical engineer and entrepreneur dedicated to advancing decentralized hydrogen energy solutions. He earned his degree and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich. 

He began his professional career at MAN Diesel & Turbo, focusing on diesel engine power plants. He then contributed to Electrochaea, a startup specializing in biological methanation. 

In 2021, Dr. Ostermeier founded ostermeier H2ydrogen Solutions GmbH (OHS), a company that designs modular hydrogen systems for local energy autonomy. OHS offers scalable electrolyzer solutions ranging from 5 to 500 kW, catering to applications such as on-site hydrogen production for laboratories, fuel for industrial vehicles, and seasonal energy storage in buildings. 

Dr. Ostermeier actively promotes the vision of hydrogen as a cornerstone for local energy independence. He has shared his insights on platforms like the Arkance Think.Future podcast and at industry events such as the Hannover Messe.
